A meeting was held at the General Directorate of Forestry between officials of the General Directorate of Forestry and the UAE Embassy in Ankara.
Ambassador Zahiri and General Director of Forestry Bekir Karacabey made a statement to the press after the meeting.
Reminding that the UAE’s Ambassador to Ankara, Said Sani al-Zahiri, celebrated the 50th anniversary of relations between his country and Turkey, he said, “We are proud to announce that a commemorative forest has been established and planted in the beautiful lands of the Republic of Turkey, especially in Ankara.”
Announcing that his country has a project to plant 50 thousand monumental trees in Turkey, Zahiri described it as “a symbol of friendship that brings together the people of two friendly countries.”
Zahiri emphasized the importance of preserving biodiversity, stating that this initiative was made within the framework of the UAE’s commitment to protecting the environment and promoting sustainability.
A 50 BILLION DOLLAR AGREEMENT WAS SIGNED
AKP President Erdoğan, who visited the United Arab Emirates during his Gulf tour in recent months, met with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
After the meeting, a 50.7 billion dollar agreement was signed between Türkiye and the UAE.
In the statement made by the Directorate of Communications, “13 documents were signed and accepted between Turkey and the United Arab Emirates in various fields. The total amount of the agreements is 50.7 billion dollars.” expressions were used.
