Isère: Soitec is changing its governance

As of July 23, Éric Meurice will no longer be a director and chairman of the board of directors of Soitec (Bernin, Isère). However, he will not leave thecompany specializing in semiconductor materials since he will take on the role of strategic advisor to Pierre Barnabé for a year. Christophe Goût was designated to replace him and thus embody the presidency of the board of directorsand the presidency of the strategy committee for a transition period. This change will be effective at the next general meeting of shareholders. Quoted in a press release, Pierre Barnabé declares that he is “very happy that Christophe Goût becomes chairman of the board of directors of Soitec in the interim and to be able to rely on his experience and his vision.”

A graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique, Sciences Po Paris and the National School of Statistics and Economic Administration, Christophe Goût has been Managing Director and founding partner of Yotta Capital Partners, an investment platform, since 2020. Currently, he serves as lead administrator on behalf of Soitec. When he takes up his duties as interim chairman of the board of directors, the role he has held until then will revert to Delphine Segura-Vayletindependent director of the board of directors of the Isère company which has committed to reusing 35% of its wastewater this year. She is also chair of the remuneration and nominations committee, and a member of the strategy committee since 2022. During her career, she managed the human resources of large international industrial groups, such as the Seb group.

Note that the Soitec board of directors has proposed to the next general meeting the renewals of the mandates of Françoise Chombar, Satoshi Onishi And Shuo Zhang as directors for three years. The latter will also take on the role of chair of the audit and risks committee replacing Christophe Goût.
