In Karachi, a cup of cut tea was sold for Rs.60 instead of Rs.50.
The price of a cup of plain tea has also been increased by Rs 10, which is now available at hotels for Rs 70 instead of Rs 60.
In Shahr Quaid, the price of a cup of Dudhpati tea has also been increased by Rs 10, tea lovers will now get it for Rs 80 instead of Rs 70.
Due to the pressure of inflation, the rush at tea hotels in Karachi has reduced.
On the other hand, there are some people, who called tea a compulsion and said that they cannot give it up, they will drink tea even if they add less milk and sugar.
Hotel owners said that a cup of tea costing Rs 60 has become Rs 70 due to the high price of sugar.
On the other hand, in Peshawar too, the price of tea has been increased at tea houses and dhabas due to the high price of sugar.
In Peshawar, there has been an increase of Rs 30 on large tea cans, which are now available at Rs 150 instead of Rs 120.
A medium-sized tea bag has increased from Rs 50 to Rs 80.
