Kaspersky Lab announced an increase in cyber attacks around the world – Kommersant

Kaspersky Lab is recording a dynamic increase in cyber attacks around the world, said the head of the company, Evgeny Kaspersky. According to him, every day Kaspersky Lab encounters 400 thousand new malicious files.
“The increase in attacks is everywhere, in fact, it is a global problem. Every day we collect approximately 400 thousand new files that we have never seen before, and specifically malicious files. Some of them are already being “detected” because the signature works well, but, of course, not all of them,” Mr. Kaspersky said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
As the head of Kaspersky Lab noted, the attackers’ goals remain the same. Most often, cyber attacks are carried out on the infrastructure of business and the public sector, as well as industry. “For the most part, hackers speak Chinese, then Spanish, Portuguese, only then Russian, English and broken English, Turkish,” he added.
According to MTS RED, the total number of cyber attacks on Russian companies in April-June almost doubled, to 12.7 thousand incidents. Hackers have become especially active against IT companies – the number of such attacks has increased to 4 thousand. Meanwhile, according to experts, the volume of the Russian cybersecurity market in the next few years will grow by an average of 24% per year and by 2027 will amount to 559 billion rubles.
