Montrond-les-Bains. The surroundings of the station developed, traffic disrupted for a few days

With more than 300 travelers per day, the station area is a sensitive area whose rehabilitation began several months ago. A major restructuring, the objective of which is to create a suitable reception area favoring, among other things, eco-sustainable developments (planted paving stones) and soft access (pedestrian lanes, cycle lanes and charging stations for electric vehicles).
The mayor, Serge Percet, explains: “The work started several months ago impacts users on a daily basis, but also local residents who must adapt. Unfortunately, some inconveniences are inevitable during periods of major work. The final result represents real added value for everyone, we are convinced that our citizens will be able to show understanding. »
Rue de l’Anzieux closed to traffic for a week
In the meantime, in order to facilitate the development work around the station, traffic will be prohibited for all vehicles until Friday November 24 on rue de l’Anzieux, from the intersection with avenue de la Gare until at the bridge. Access to the coach parking lot will be accessible via rue de l’Anzieux. Two temporary bus stops will be set up at the intersection of avenue de la Gare and rue des Princes and opposite this intersection.
Note that the sector should be able to display its new face from the start of 2024 to the great relief of the Batistou company, access to which has been made difficult. The factory store offering a selection of products for direct sale remains open.
