Since the start of the Russian special operation in Ukraine, 40,062 residents of the Republic of Chechnya have been sent to the NVO zone. Among them are 16,815 volunteers. All of them underwent military training at the Russian Special Forces University in the city of Gudermes. This was announced by the chairman of the regional parliament, Magomed Daudov, following an extended meeting chaired by the head of the republic, Ramzan Kadyrov.

“During the meeting, I conveyed to Ramzan Akhmatovich words of gratitude from the leadership of the Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions, where military personnel from the Chechen Republic successfully protect border territories from attacks by Ukrainian sabotage and terrorist groups,” Daudov wrote in his Telegram-channel.

The Chairman of the Chechen Parliament also spoke about the assistance to Russian soldiers provided by the Regional Public Fund named after Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov. The foundation provides soldiers with equipment, ammunition, uniforms and other things. The fund has already spent more than 31 billion rubles on this, Mr. Daudov added.

In December 2023, Ramzan Kadyrov statedthat Chechnya has fulfilled the partial mobilization plan “by 1500%.” According to him, Chechnya, unlike other regions, does not need to “get volunteers.”
