Özgür Demirtaş addressed the famous football players who were defrauded: ‘Before investing…’
In Istanbul, bank manager Seçil Erzan defrauded 18 people, including Arda Turan, Fernando Muslera, Emre Belözoğlu and Selçuk İnan, of approximately 25 million dollars with the promise of high-profit, private and reliable funds.
Seçil Erzan said that the complainant Emre Çolak gave 3 million 200 thousand dollars and did not take all of this money back, that Emre Belözoğlu gave 4 million 200 thousand dollars and did not take it back, and that Arda Turan would present the amount he delivered later by making a written statement.
The defendant, who claimed that he had money exchange with Fatih Terim but did not owe him money, stated that 500 thousand dollars of Fernando Muslera’s principal money had not been paid.
“YOU CAN ASK ME FOR FREE”
Prof. Dr. Özgür Demirtaş called out to the defrauded athletes on his social media account.
Demirtaş said, “You can ask me for free before investing” against Arda Turan, Fernando Muslera, Emre Belözoğlu and Selçuk İnan, who were defrauded of approximately 25 million dollars.
Özgür Demirtaş stated that he cannot give investment advice and said, “I am calling out to all our athletes here. Ask an expert before investing. You can ask me for free. It is forbidden to give investment advice. I cannot tell you what you should invest your money in. But I can tell you what you should not invest in and save you from being defrauded.”
“THIS EVENT WORRIED ME VERY MUCH”
Complainant Arda Turan said that after Seçil Erzan called him frequently and harassed him, he first gave him 3 million dollars to deposit in the fund he mentioned, and that Erzan deceived him by saying, “Whoever invested in this fund will earn according to the amount, this is not interest.” Stating that he handed over 13 million 900 thousand dollars, that he paid back 6 million 400 thousand dollars, and that he gave him a document with a bank stamp and a wet signature, he said: “Seçil Erzan destroyed all the money and effort I earned by working for years by deceiving me. I’m so sorry, this incident made me very tired. “All my savings were suddenly gone,” he said.
