Pensions, because quota 103 loses appeal
The Meloni government had decided to exceed Quota 103 with Quota 104. As, in fact, the Corriere wrote recently, in 2024 Quota 103 will be used by many fewer workers than in 2023 (at the end of October just over 16 thousand applications had been accepted compared to the over 40 thousand that were – erroneously – expected to be forwarded). The main change is given by the calculation of the allowance, which will be entirely contributory, and by the ceiling given to the pension until the seniority limit is reached. So, in 2024, who wants to leave work early is better off with Quota 103 or the ordinary early pension?
