Retired MPs will be able to receive 5 thousand lira, but farmers will not be able to receive it!

Hamzaçebi, Chairman of Büro-İş Union, “The fact that a 5 thousand TL bonus is not paid to a low-income retiree who receives a pension of 7 thousand 500 TL and cannot pay the rent, cannot eat healthily, cannot make ends meet, and therefore has to work a second job, hurts the conscience.” said.
Hamzaçebi stated that tradesmen and those registered in the farmer registration system (ÇKS) will not receive the 5 thousand lira bonus. “As it is known, diesel and fertilizer support is provided to those registered with ÇKS. The support given is only a symbolic amount. There are hundreds of thousands of retirees registered with ÇKS, who receive 250 liras of diesel and fertilizer support annually. “These people request that at least 250 TL be deducted from 5 thousand TL and the remaining amount be paid to them.” he said.
‘GREAT INJUSTICE’
Hamzaçebi stated that during the pandemic period, when it was forbidden to leave the house, those who used it as a hobby garden and kept pets and poultry, and those who grew fruit trees for their own consumption had to go out to feed their animals and water their trees, so they registered with ÇKS.
Hamzaçebi continued as follows: “Law and practice in themselves cause injustice. Small tradesmen, craftsmen, peasants and farmers in the lowest income group who have to make ends meet are in a difficult situation. “Although it is not enough, 5 thousand TL should be given to all retirees every month without discrimination.”
