‘Single increase’ signal to the minimum wage from the Minister of Labor

Before the Minimum Wage Determination Commission to meet next month, Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan pointed out a single increase in the minimum wage.

Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan made statements about the minimum wage in his statement after the cabinet meeting held yesterday. Işıkhan will only increase the minimum wage in 2024 interest He indicated that it would be done.
Işıkhan said in his statement: “As you know, the minimum wage was always once a year. “We are still working on a single raise,” he said.
‘WE THINK IT WON’T BE NECESSARY’
Stating that they think there will be no need for a second increase in the minimum wage, Işıkhan said:
“The decision must be published in the Official Gazette as of December 31. Therefore, it will be like what we did last July. As you know, the minimum wage was always once a year. Again, we are working for a single raise.
Last July was extra. This happened after it was needed, with the foresight of our President. But if the need arises, we can come together.
Hopefully there will be a decline in inflation next year. We will not hold a second meeting in July, we think there will be no need for a second raise. Because all parameters are going well.”
