Step to solve the ‘ownership’ problem of the license plate owner: A bill is being prepared

Karaismailoğlu made a statement to the AA correspondent about the work of the commission.
Explaining that the commission, which covers the public works, zoning, transportation and tourism sectors, has very important agendas for the development of life, Karaismailoğlu stated that it aims to produce legal solutions to the problems he experienced in the field during the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
Karaismailoğlu said, “Hopefully, after the urban transformation law, we will have a study on public transportation in the near future, our work is currently continuing.” said.
Adil Karaismailoğlu pointed out that one of the most important problems of metropolitan cities, especially Istanbul, is public transportation, and that the less time spent on public transportation during the day, the more time people can spend with their loved ones.
Emphasizing that reducing traffic congestion in cities is possible with quality, safe and economical public transportation, Karaismailoğlu said, “In metropolitan cities such as Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir, the first step of this is metros, trams and rail systems. We need to complete our rail system investments as soon as possible in places where feasibility is appropriate. Istanbul’ There are currently 340 kilometers of rail system lines in Istanbul, but there are ongoing rail system investments. Our Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure is making very important contributions to Istanbul. In the last year, it has completed 50 kilometers of rail system investment and put it at the service of Istanbulites, hopefully another 50 kilometers in the coming months. “He will finish it and put it at the service of Istanbulites.” he said.

Karaismailoğlu pointed out the importance of operating the rail system lines in an integrated manner with rubber-wheeled vehicles after extending them to sufficient kilometers, and said, “Private public buses, minibuses and taxis, especially the buses operated by our municipalities, are of high quality and safety within the framework of certain principles and rules, ensuring both customer and driver satisfaction.” “We are working in our commission to create the infrastructure for this. There are also demands regarding the ownership of taxis, minibuses and private public buses. Work continues to protect the rights of our citizens and tradesmen who have been doing this business for years.” said.
Explaining that minibuses, buses and taxis can provide public transportation services by assigning commercial license plates and lines, Karaismailoğlu stated that they aim to solve the ownership problem experienced by tradesmen who have license plates in the current situation.
Karaismailoğlu continued his words as follows:
“Some of our municipalities attempted to make new tenders over our vehicles, which were working as if it was their duty, even though they had no authority. Of course, this made our tradesmen nervous. There is an effort to regulate this. There is a solution that will eliminate the problems and uneasiness of our taxi drivers, minibus drivers and bus drivers regarding the ownership of the work they do.” “We started the work. In fact, we had prepared this before the May 14 elections, but it was not completed. When we put the finishing touches on it here and bring it to the Parliament by working together with tradesmen, associations and institutions, our tradesmen will be relieved and will provide quality service. As a result, the satisfaction of our citizens will increase as they receive quality service.”
Stating that if public transportation is of high quality and safe, citizens will not use their personal vehicles, and this will provide a solution to the traffic problem, Karaismailoğlu said that they are continuing their negotiations to work on rail systems.
“The rate at which the rich use public transportation is a measure of their level of development”

Commission President Adil Karaismailoğlu stated that the way to eliminate traffic congestion in Istanbul is public transportation and that this can be possible with rail systems, and said, “The average travel time in Istanbul today is 1 hour. If you do not make these investments, this will increase to 2 hours after a year. “Consider the journey back, 4 hours. Can you imagine the mood at home of a person who spent 4 hours in traffic? The way to make life easier and add comfort and security to the city is to develop public transportation.” made his assessment.
Pointing out that there are 6 thousand buses in Istanbul and that there is no such large fleet in the world, Karaismailoğlu stated that daily, weekly and monthly maintenance must be carried out for the healthy operation of this fleet, otherwise it will remain on the road and cause traffic congestion, as it is today. Karaismailoğlu said that the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality could not provide adequate service in this regard and that the metro constructions, which are the responsibility of the municipality, did not continue, and noted that the citizens would show their appreciation for this situation in the local elections.
Referring to the timetable for submitting the legal regulation on public transportation to the Parliament, Adil Karaismailoğlu said, “The proposal may come before the local elections because our private transporters and tradesmen are waiting. I hope we will bring it soon to ensure that they get paid for the work they do and to eliminate their anxiety.” he said.
Pointing out the importance of the public transportation usage rate of the rich in measuring the development level of countries, Karaismailoğlu said, “The higher it is, the easier, safer and more economical life is there. You can understand that life is easier, safer and more economical there. Hopefully, we will do whatever needs to be done in the Turkish Grand National Assembly to improve these.” he said.
