TURKISH ECONOMY EXCEEDED $1 TRILLION

Referring to Turkey’s exports at the congress, Minister Bolat said, “Our exports, which were 0.55 dollars per kilogram in 2002, are 1.37 dollars today. Today, the digitalization process, artificial intelligence and e-commerce will increase global trade. Today, our total exports are 1.5 percent.” We aim to increase the share of e-commerce and e-export, which constitute a share, to 10 percent by 2028. Since 21 years, the Turkish economy has grown 4.5 times, reaching a national income of 1 trillion 75 billion dollars. In 2024, 267 billion dollars of goods will be produced. “We target exports and service exports of 100 billion dollars. We are determined to increase the export value per kilogram first to 2 dollars and then to 3 dollars with the contribution of young people to exports.”

WE ATTRACTED 20% OF GLOBAL INVESTMENT

Stating that Turkey has attracted over 260 billion dollars of investment in the last 20 years, Presidential Investment Office President Burak Dağlıoğlu said, “In the last 10 years, Turkey has become the country that attracted the most investors in its geography. “It attracted 20 percent of the total international direct investment projects realized in the manufacturing industry in a wide geography covering Eastern Europe, Central Europe, the Middle East and North Africa,” he said.

WE DO NOT FIND TRADE WITH ISRAEL ETHICAL

Evaluating the trade from Turkey to the Middle East, MÜSİAD Chairman Mahmut Asmalı said, “There are some efforts to smear all the aid or campaigns we provide to Palestine. ‘We believe that our members have increased their trade with the State of Israel since October 7 and that they are making money while this persecution is taking place there. There are allegations that they are “pursuing business”. Palestinian merchants continue to do business there and meet the needs of the people there. This does not mean that every export made there is made with Jewish businessmen. In addition, we, as MÜSİAD, do not find trade with Jewish businessmen ethical, and the businessmen who do this “If there are any, I express once again that we do not agree with them. Jerusalem, Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Palestinian cause are our red line, no one should doubt this,” he said.

I SOLD MORE THAN 30 COMPANIES

Murat Ülker, Member of the Board of Directors of Yıldız Holding, owner of the Ülker brand, and one of the speakers who give advice to young people with his experiences from business life, said: “When I am going to sell a company, I go and talk to my friends there. I explain what I am doing, why I am doing it, my plan, what their future will be, and if I can convince them that it will be better for them, I will sell that company. “I have sold more than 30 brands, factories and companies so far,” he said.

THERE ARE GENÇ MÜSİAD OFFICES IN 35 COUNTRIES

Underlining that its members contribute 500 million dollars to exports through foreign trade training, Young MÜSİAD President Cahit Erkaynak said, “We are the world’s most widespread organization of young business people under the age of 30, with 57 domestic and 35 foreign branches. As young people, we will carry this flag in artificial intelligence, digital solutions, cyber security, smart agriculture, value-added industry and production. “We are a very valuable country with more than 38 million young people under the age of 30,” he said.
