The state will compensate fully or partially for demining ordered through Prozorro

Ukraine will launch a market for humanitarian demining services through Prozorro.

This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

According to him, a mechanism for compensating farmers and strategic enterprises for demining costs is currently being developed. For this, a transparent market for demining services is being created, which will operate in the Prozorro electronic trading system.

“If an agricultural or other company purchases a demining service through Prozorro, receives this service and a corresponding certificate from an officially licensed operator, then the state will fully or partially compensate the costs,” Shmyhal said at the government meeting.

A pilot competition for the sale of demining services has already taken place in the Zhytomyr region. The state saved 100,000 hryvnias of budget funds.

According to the Prime Minister, this approach should significantly speed up the process of land clearing where possible.

“In the draft budget for 2024, we have allocated UAH 2 billion for humanitarian demining,” he said.

Also, in mid-October, Croatia plans to hold an international donor conference on humanitarian demining of Ukraine, the results of which are expected to attract additional financial resources from donors in this direction.
