Valentine’s Day: love can be enjoyed in the kitchen

One in two people shows their love through Kitchen. This was revealed by an international survey commissioned by Barilla and conducted by YouGov in December 2023 involving a representative sample of 5 thousand people. From the Italian research it also emerges that for 65.4% of those interviewed the best occasion to celebrate all-round love is the lovers’ day par excellence: Saint Valentine.

The strong bond between love and cooking it would also seem confirmed by research conducted in Italy in January 2023 by AstraRicerche on behalf of Amazon.it which involved a representative sample of over a thousand people aged between 15 and 65: almost 2 out of 3 Italians (65.4%) would celebrate Valentine’s Day at the table. The favorite time for the party would be the dinner, indicated by over 50% of those interviewed. In particular, for 2 out of 3 respondents (68%) loving would mean bringing their partner’s favorite dish to the table, perhaps as soon as they got home from work. Furthermore, 51% would tend to demonstrate their love towards their loved ones – be they partners, family or friends – by cooking. Finally, in the ranking of dishes most associated with love, the one would triumph pasta which, thanks to Valentine’s Day, Barilla has proposed in a new format. Strictly limited edition and the subject of a ‘social contest’ dedicated to good feelings.
