YeRobota program: the state invested 5 billion in business support

The government has invested UAH 5 billion in the development of small and medium-sized businesses as part of the YeRobota grant program. In total, almost 9,000 Ukrainians received grants.

About this informs press service of the Ministry of Economy.

“Almost 8,753 Ukrainians have already received grants from the state to start or develop a business under the YeRobota project. More than 2,000 of them took grant funds specifically for starting their own business, others for business scaling, production expansion, development and launch of new directions.” , – noted the Minister of Economy Yuliya Svyridenko.

According to Svyridenko, the state invested UAH 5 billion in the activation of entrepreneurship through grants. These investments also contributed to the improvement of the situation on the labor market, because grant recipients, implementing their projects, will create about 35,000 new jobs.

In general, from the beginning of the launch of the project in July 2022:

  • under the program “Own business” – 8,013 micro-grants for UAH 1.9 billion were issued;
  • for the development of processing enterprises – 487 grants worth UAH 2.5 billion were issued;
  • 133 grants worth UAH 555 million were issued for horticulture and greenhouse development;
  • 120 grants worth UAH 45 million were issued to veterans and their family members.

The ministry adds that both active entrepreneurs and people with no business experience can apply for a grant. “Applications are submitted through the portal Action together with a business plan. A mandatory condition for receiving a grant is the creation of new jobs – from 1-2 in the case of a micro-grant to several dozen in the case of grants under other programs,” the message reads.

We will remind:

For more than 15 months of operation of the government grant program “eRobota” the state invested 4.4 billion hryvnias for the development of small and medium-sized businesses. 8,000 entrepreneurs received grants for starting or expanding their business.
