Yıldız Holding’s 100th anniversary mark on the traditional ‘Make Happy, Be Happy Day’

This year, the enthusiasm of the 100th anniversary of the Republic left its mark on the traditional “Make Happy, Be Happy Day”, celebrated by Yıldız Holding employees every year on the third Thursday of November, aiming at the happiness of all its stakeholders with the “Make Happy, Be Happy” approach since its establishment. As part of the celebrations, Yıldız Holding’s Çamlıca Campus hosted the day-long events. On Make Happy Be Happy Day, where Yıldız Holding employees celebrated their volunteering and social benefit activities throughout the year, employees participated in many different sustainability-themed workshops such as upcycling and waste-free kitchen throughout the day, and created a collective art work in reference to the 100th anniversary of the Republic. They also did it. Proceeds from the bazaar organized today with the participation of Yıldız Holding employees were donated to LÖSEV.

The exhibition, which sheds light on the deep-rooted history of Anatolia, was opened to visitors at Yıldız Holding Exhibition Hall.

At Yıldız Holding, which hosts a new art collection every year on Make Happy Be Happy Day, this year the opening of a special exhibition shedding light on the history of Anatolian civilizations was held with the participation of the Governor of Istanbul, Mr. Davut Gül. A selection of 350 artifacts from 672 different historical artifacts registered to the Istanbul Archeology Museums Directorate under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism was opened to visitors at the Yıldız Holding Exhibition Hall. The exhibition includes jugs, bowls, seals, figurines and many other works that have survived from the historical period ranging from 3500 BC to the 19th century, as well as works from the Bronze – Iron Age, Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine and Seljuk periods, as well as Islamic Periods and the Ottoman Empire. It also includes works dating back to the last century of the 19th century. In addition to the ‘Vekfs’, which have an important place in traditional Islamic art and are believed to be healing, the exhibition also includes; Knives, wedges, needles and standards found in cist graves unique to Luristan, a mountainous region in southwestern Iran, and “Unguentaria”, also known as “Tear Bottles”, can also be seen. Yıldız Holding’s new permanent collection exhibition awaits its visitors at the exhibition hall in Çamlıca.
