The liquor and spirits market continues its growth, driving the beverage sector and the companies that have worked best over the years. Among these, the data emerge from Mavolo Beveragesa Venetian company specializing in the distribution of drinks and spirits which has announced a significant increase in sales, breaking the 100 million mark, and also significant growth in the number of employees. A development context in which premium products and the work on selecting them reign supreme.

Mavolo’s numbers: +10% turnover and doubled employees

In 2023 Mavolo Beverages achieved a turnover of almost 102 million euros, with an increase of 10% compared to 2022. The increase is part of a context of constant growth that the company has experienced in recent years, strengthening its position in the alcoholic beverages market, and is accompanied by another very significant figure: in two years, the number of employees in the Veneto region has almost doubled, recording an increase of 94%.

An expansion which for the company is indicative of its commitment to growth and innovation: “We are really proud to have achieved the objectives we set ourselves at the beginning of the year. We share these results with our employees as without their work and professionalism they would not have been achievable: we are proud to have doubled the number of people in the company in just two years. We will continue to work on the path already traced and we are convinced that 2024 will be full of further great satisfactions”, he comments Alessandro MavoloCEO of the Venetian company.

The manager then underlines how among the fundamental elements in the development process are the presence of Mavolo throughout the Italian territory thanks to the specialized agencies, which have allowed the company to reach different segments of the market, and the distribution network designed with advanced management and planning technologies.

Trend: interest in tequila and mezcal is growing

Analyzing the business performance of Mavolo Beverages, positive growth emerges which embraces various segments of the beverage market. The trends are in line with the global trend of the sector: the ginwhich was the best seller of the previous year, confirmed its good performance, while the whiskey substantially maintained the sales levels of 2022. Furthermore, there is a growing increase in interest among consumers in agave-based distillates, such as tequila and mezcal. Trends that demonstrate the public’s orientation towards higher quality products and the search for conscious and “premium” consumer experiences. Even in this case, the proof is in the numbers: in 2023 the Venetian company’s catalog of exclusive labels – which now has 344 different references – achieved a 25% increase compared to the previous year.

“The beverage market is constantly changing. The factor that remains unchanged in consumer choices is the constant search for quality, both in the labels and in the drinks in the glass – explains Alessandro Mavolo – The consumer is more attentive and shows a growing interest in drinking in a more conscious way, preferring quality over amount. Our goal is to be able to keep up with this trend and intercept customer desires.”

The Venetian entrepreneur underlined that the exclusive Anthology by Mavolo line will be increasingly at the center of the company development strategy, reiterating the desire to invest further in this division and expand the team of drinksetters (i.e. the spirit specialists) who represent the flagship of the flagship of the project.
