Ahmedabad: Blue Star Limited on Monday launched a new range of more than 100 premium models of room air conditioners.
Speaking on the occasion, B Thiagarajan, Managing Director, Blue Star Limited, said, “The room AC market is at a historic juncture and is poised for rapid growth in the next few years. The industry estimates that the market will more than double by 2030. With over eighty years of AC expertise and well established in the market, this represents a huge opportunity for us. Blue Star continues to make significant investments in R&D, manufacturing as well as supply chain to enhance efficiencies and capabilities to effectively capitalize on the growing demand.
Thiagarajan said that we are hopeful that the upcoming summer weather will be good and the demand for room air conditioners is also expected to be strong. We are confident that with our range of Room AC offerings, catering to all consumer segments and price ranges, we will gain momentum in the market. The company today unveiled its new wide range of Room ACs for the summer season, which includes ‘Best-in-Class Affordable’ range and ‘Flagship Premium’ range. Overall, the company has launched more than 100 models of Inverter, Fixed Speed and Window ACs across a spectrum and different price points to meet the needs of every consumer segment.
He said the room AC market is witnessing significant demand due to the increasing number of middle class consumers with high disposable income and the category has become more of a necessity than a luxury. The company is facing demand from first-time buyers, especially in Tier 2, 3 and 4 markets as well as in the replacement market. To meet this growing demand, Blue Star has leveraged its manufacturing, R&D and innovation capabilities to launch several products to offer new, innovative and best-in-class ACs.
