If we talk about the apple season this time, in the apple season which started at a slow pace, in two months from June 30 to August 31, about 74,45,108 boxes of apples have reached various mandis of the state, which is much less than last year. Last year, in the year 2022, by August 31, 1.81 crore boxes had reached the market. These figures are from the HP State Agriculture Marketing Board, which monitors apple procurement across Himachal Pradesh. This time, as a major buyer, APMC also started procuring apples from three main mandis and APMC has bought about 40 lakh apple boxes. It is noteworthy that this time the government has given instructions to buy apples according to the forts in the state. And Horticulture Minister Jagat Singh Negi has also spoken many times about taking strict action by canceling the license of the agent who is found violating these rules.

If you look at the figures of HP State Agricultural Marketing Board, then this time 74,45,108 apple boxes have been traded in various mandis of the state. Among them, mainly in Rohru, Parmanu, Parala, Dhali, Solan Mandi, gardeners have reached on a large scale with their apples. APMC’s senior marketing officer Anil Chauhan told that this time the apple season has started late. Despite this, it is expected that after the opening of the season, the apple season will gain momentum. This time due to the delayed start of the season, its closing will also be delayed. It is believed that this time the apple season may go till the end of November as most of the gardeners have still not completed harvesting in their apple orchards. This time it is expected that around 1.25 crore apple boxes will reach the market.
