New Delhi (Uttam Hindu News): Tesla CEO Elon Musk says that Tesla’s entry in India is a natural progression. The country is ready for this change. This statement of Musk is a big indication of Tesla’s entry in the Indian market. “Making Tesla electric vehicles available in India is a natural progression,” said Elon Musk in his ‘spaces’ meeting with Norges Bank Investment Management CEO Nikolai Tangen.
All vehicles will become electric and it is just a matter of time. Like other countries that have adopted EVs, India too should have more and more electric cars. Last week, reports came out that the electric car company is sending a team of experts to India to look for a place to set up a $2-3 billion EV plant.
Gujarat, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu are reportedly on top of the company’s agenda to start manufacturing EVs and export them. PM Narendra Modi had invited Elon Musk to explore opportunities in the country for investment in the e-mobility sector. Industry experts stressed that the increase in EV battery manufacturing along with the ‘Make in India’ initiative will reduce manufacturing costs and boost EV sales in the country.
