Enel launches ‘Train the Brain’ to prevent cognitive deficits linked to advancing age

The well-being of people in the company also involves taking care of them cognitive and psychological health. For this reason the Enel Group he threw ‘Train the Brain’project in collaboration with Igea Onlus Foundationborn with the aim of helping employees to prevent cognitive deficits related to the advancement of years.

With the progressive increase in the average age of the population, it is in fact increasingly necessary to launch public and private health care programs aimed at combating the symptoms of cognitive impairment and improving people’s quality of life. Train the Brain is aimed at everyone employees over 45 and offers them the opportunity to participate in free individual meetings with neuropsychologists to test one’s cognitive abilities and, in case of detected deficits, to obtain useful information on further tests and checks to be carried out.

Already 300 colleagues have used the service in its first pilot phase and, on the same day as the project’s launch, more than 1200 expressed their interest in joining the prevention path. The project also involves the Igea Foundation, which has been active for years in the development of activities dedicated to the prevention of cognitive deficits, with the task of identifying the best specialists who can make their skills available to people.

Train the brain is part of the broader package of welfare measures launched by Enel to promote the well-being and health of workers in all their dimensions. Among the numerous benefits that all Enel employees and their families can already access free of charge, the following stand out, for example: free psychological support services and those of nutritional consultancyas well as the possibility to register for gyms in the Gympass circuit located throughout the national territory. Around 3,500 employees in Italy have already benefited from these benefits. Constantly growing numbers which testify to people’s ever-increasing appreciation for these corporate welfare initiatives.
