Fix Price increased net profit by 66.8% in 2023 – Kommersant

At the end of 2023, the net profit of the retailer Fix Price (MOEX: FIXP) according to IFRS grew by 66.8% in annual terms, to 35.707 billion rubles. The company’s revenue increased by 5.1%, to 291.865 billion rubles, follows from the reporting (.pdf) retailer.
The company’s EBITDA decreased by 2.1%, to RUB 53.065 billion, adjusted EBITDA remained at the previous year level – RUB 54.212 billion. EBITDA margin decreased to 18.2%.
In the fourth quarter of 2023, Fix Price net profit decreased by 7.6%, to RUB 8.614 billion. Revenue increased by 7.8%, to RUB 81.669 billion. EBITDA increased by 3.5%, to RUB 15.6 billion, adjusted EBITDA by 5.8%, to RUB 15.938 billion. EBITDA margin decreased to 19.1%.
In the fourth quarter, Fix Price opened 252 stores, for a total of 751 stores last year. As of December 31, 2023, Fix Price had 6,414 thousand stores, including 703 franchised stores.
In February 2022, Fix Price re-registered its business from the British Virgin Islands to Cyprus. On November 9, 2023, shareholders approved the re-registration of the company from Cyprus to Kazakhstan. The retailer planned maintain global depositary receipts on the London Stock Exchange. In January 2024 Fix Price received from the government permission to pay dividends, the amount of which amounted to 9.8 billion rubles.
