New Delhi: More than nine crore customers have been connected to Reliance Jio’s true 5G network. The company said on Friday that its total number of customers has crossed 47 crore.
While releasing the results of the third quarter of the current financial year (October-December, 2023), Reliance Jio said that the total data consumption on Jio network has increased by 31.5 percent to 38.1 billion GB.
The company said in a statement on Friday, “The number of customers connecting to Reliance Jio’s True 5G network available across the country has crossed 10 million.” About a quarter of Reliance Jio’s total data traffic is through the Jio True 5G network. But it has arrived. Accordingly, the ‘data traffic load’ of more than nine billion GB is now being handled by Jio’s 5G network.
The company said that the talk time on Reliance Jio has also increased to 1.37 lakh crore minutes. Akash M Ambani, Chairman, Reliance Jio Infocomm, said, Jio has completed the world’s fastest 5G deployment and is now available across India… offering next-generation networks, digital technologies and solutions exclusively for all customer groups. Jio’s investment in manufactured products will ensure sustainable growth in the years to come.” The consolidated net profit of Reliance’s telecom and digital arm Jio Platforms increased by 11.6 percent to Rs 5,445 crore in the third quarter of the current financial year.
