Heavy blow to inflation, LPG cylinder prices increased again after 4 months

New Delhi (Best Hindu News): On the first of every month, the price of gas cylinders is changed by the oil companies. Even on June 1, the price of commercial gas cylinder was reduced by Rs 83, after which the common man heaved a sigh of relief. But this time the oil companies have increased the price of gas cylinders on 4th July. According to the report of ANI, the prices of commercial LPG gas cylinders have been increased by Rs 7 per cylinder. After this, the Delhi retail selling price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has increased from Rs 1,773 to Rs 1,780 per cylinder. However, there has been no change in the prices of domestic LPG cylinders.
Significantly, for the last two consecutive months, companies had given relief by cutting the price of 19 kg commercial LPG gas cylinders. On June 1, 2023, the cylinder was made cheaper by Rs 83.5, while earlier on May 1, 2023, the price of commercial cylinder was reduced by Rs 172. However, there was no change in the prices of 14 kg LPG Cylinder used in domestic kitchens.
After the latest increase by the oil marketing companies, the price of 19 kg commercial cylinder has now increased from Rs 1875.50 to Rs 1882.50 in Kolkata other than Delhi. Apart from this, its price has been increased from Rs 1725 to Rs 1732 in Mumbai. If we talk about Chennai, the commercial cylinder which was available here for Rs 1937, will now be available for Rs 1944.
Earlier, on March 1, 2023, the companies had increased the prices of commercial LPG cylinders of 19 kilos by Rs 350.50 per unit. After this huge increase in prices, its price had increased to Rs 2119.50 in Delhi. However, since then its price has been cut and now the prices have been increased once again.
On the one hand, for the last few months, the prices of commercial APG gas cylinders are being cut and increased. On the other hand, the price of 14.2 kg domestic gas cylinder was last increased by Rs 50 on March 1, 2023. Since then its prices have remained stable. Even in the latest revision, the oil marketing companies have not made any change in the prices of domestic LPG cylinders. Prices have remained unchanged in all the four metros of the country.
Where domestic LPG cylinder is available for Rs 1103 in the capital Delhi, then in Kolkata you can buy it for Rs 1129. Its price remains unchanged at Rs 1102.50 in Mumbai and Rs 1118.50 in Chennai.
