Ice cream production in Russia has grown to a record level – Kommersant

The volume of ice cream production in Russia in 2023 amounted to a record 524 thousand tons. The indicator increased by 13% compared to the previous year, as evidenced by the data rating the largest ice cream makers in Russia, which was prepared by Soyuzmoloko, the Milknews news agency and the consulting company Streda Consulting.

1. Iceberry Group of Companies – 71.4 thousand tons (+35.8%);
2. GC “Renna” – 55.2 thousand tons (+18.2%);
3. Unilever (Inmarko) – 40.6 thousand tons (+14.7%);
4. Froneri – 30 thousand tons (+11.1%);
5. GC “Slavitsa” – 29.5 thousand tons (+12.6%);
6. GC “Russian Cold” – 26 thousand tons (+5%);
7. “Clean Line” – 18 thousand tons (-18.2%);
8. “Chelny Kholod” – 17.3 thousand tons (+8%);
9. GC “Russian Milk” – 13.2 thousand tons (+57.1%);
10. Polaris (Novosibkholod Group of Companies) – 12.7 thousand tons (+1.3%).

The five largest players occupied more than 43% of the market at the end of 2023 and provided 60% of the increase in production volumes. The 20 largest companies increased consolidation over five years from 35% to 45%. Soyuzmoloko assumes that the market will maintain positive dynamics; the hot summer predicted by weather forecasters may also help.
