Infosys will not do campus hiring this year: CFO said – no need right now – Dainik Savera Times

Infosys, which hired more than 50,000 new people last year, said Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Nilanjan Roy. Indian IT company Infosys will not go for campus selection in engineering colleges this year. Roy was speaking on Infosys’ second quarter results. The company had recruited 50 thousand freshers last year.

CFO said- No need now; Roy said that we had done more hiring than required last year. So we still have a large number of freshers who are being trained in Generative AI. Therefore, this time we are not going for campus selection. However, in response to a question, he said that the company will monitor the number of employees every three months and will take further decisions as per the need.

During the briefing, Infosys CFO Nilanjan Roy said the Bengaluru-headquartered company has a significant fresher bench and headroom to increase utilisation, and hence it is “not moving to the campus yet”.

Work from home culture is right according to the time

On work from home culture, company CEO Salil Parekh said that our approach to work is flexible. He said that the culture of work from home is also right according to the times. Therefore, the company will continue the work from home culture for special projects or client related work. Employees will be called to the office if needed.

As of September 30, the number of employees in the company’s offices was 3.28 lakh. At the same time, Infosys’ approach for office working employees is different from companies like TCS. TCS has asked its 6.14 lakh employees to work from office.

Infosys released the results of the second quarter of this financial year yesterday

The company had released the results of Q2FY24 i.e. the second quarter of the financial year 2024 yesterday i.e. on October 12. Along with this, dividend was also announced.

Infosys has made a net profit of ₹6,212 crore in the July-September quarter. This is a growth of 3% on annual basis. It was ₹6,026 crore in the same quarter last year. The company’s net profit in Q1FY24 was ₹5,945 crore.
