Kaspersky presented the work of a Russian smartphone on KasperskyOS – Kommersant

The head of Kaspersky Lab, Evgeny Kaspersky, presented the developer’s Aquarius smartphone with the KasperskyOS operating system at the Systeme Electric summit. The press service of Kaspersky TASS explained that at the summit the operation of the OS was presented for the first time on a domestically produced smartphone; previously the process was demonstrated on devices manufactured in Asia.
“Works. The piece of iron is “Aquarius”. All the software, the operating system, starting from the download, is all ours,” said Mr. Kaspersky. One of the research samples was shown at the conference. The operation of the OS on a smartphone shows that KasperskyOS can be installed on devices from both Russian and Asian suppliers.
Kaspersky told the agency that the OS will work on devices if they meet “certain conditions.” What exact conditions are being discussed in the TASS material is not specified.
Kaspersky introduced the secure operating system KasperskyOS in 2016. Since 2019, Kaspersky Lab has been working on a mobile operating system based on the existing KasperskyOS. In November 2023, MegaFon completed testing of the KasperskyOS for Mobile operating system and transferred the results to Kaspersky Lab. Testing allowed us to collect the necessary information for further development, which will help speed up the appearance of devices with KasperskyOS on the market.
