The Russian military-industrial complex needs more than 16,000 additional specialists. This was stated by the Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov during the council at the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District.

“In total, taking into account the deployed capacities, we need more than 16,000 specialists only for organizations that ensure the supply of the most popular types of weapons and military special equipment,” clarified Manturov (quote from TASS).

According to him, there is a need for working personnel, as well as for technicians and engineers. He emphasized that defense industry enterprises are reaching a level where the volume of deliveries exceeds the total order of the entire last year.

In June, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to increase production volumes in the country at priority defense enterprises using lean production methods. Later Manturov toldthat enterprises fulfill the state defense order by almost 100%. According to him, in the field of the military-industrial complex, “everything was done” in order to timely fulfill the schedules approved for the current year, they are mostly being implemented, but somewhere they are ahead of schedule.
