Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak instructed companies to maximize the supply of gasoline and diesel fuel to the domestic market and to stock exchange trading. He also pointed out the need to actively utilize the capacity of oil refineries, which are released as a result of the export of petroleum products. Representatives of the Ministry of Energy, the Federal Antimonopoly Service, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Finance, Russian Railways, as well as the St. Petersburg International Commodity Exchange and oil companies took part in the headquarters meeting led by Alexander Novak. The participants discussed the balance of demand, supply and supply of petroleum products to various regions of Russia in the period from April to May. Russian Railways and oil companies reported on the situation with fuel transportation on the domestic market.
At the end of March, gasoline production in Russia decreased by 12% compared to the daily average in February, to 110.7 thousand tons per day. Diesel fuel production decreased by 3.5%, to 231 thousand tons per day. The decrease in fuel production is due to damage to refinery installations due to drone attacks. It is expected that most of the damaged installations will return to service during April-May.
