Ozon and Wildberries will start operating in the DPR and LPR in the near future – Kommersant

Russian marketplaces, in particular Ozon (MOEX: OZON) and Wildberries. This was announced by the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin. Regional governments have already received requests from marketplaces to provide premises.

“Marketplaces: in particular, regarding Ozon, a decision has already been made to enter the territory of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics and Wildberries. We are counting (on the start of work.— “Kommersant”) in the very near future,” said Mr. Pushilin at the “Integration 2024” forum (quote from TASS). According to him, the services of both marketplaces will be in great demand among residents of the republics.

The head of the LPR, Leonid Pasechnik, added that the authorities of the republics will facilitate the work of marketplaces so that they begin to function in the regions as soon as possible.

Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Alexey Besprozvannykh, speaking at the same forum, stated, that in the regions that joined Russia in 2022, 160 enterprises were launched in a year and a half. This made it possible to create 11.5 thousand jobs. Most of these enterprises, Mr. Besprozvannykh added, have ceased operations since the outbreak of hostilities.
