Patrushev: Russia exported a record 60 million tons of grain

According to the results of the completed agricultural year (July 1, 2022 – June 30, 2023), Russian grain exports amounted to an unprecedented 60 million tons of grain. This was announced by the Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev on the sidelines of the exhibition “All-Russian Field Day – 2023”.

“If we talk about exports, then in the agricultural season 2022-2023 we exported an absolute unprecedented record amount of grain in terms of volume, this is 60 million tons,” leads his words TASS.

The main volume was exported to friendly countries, Patrushev explained, and export earnings in 2022 exceeded $41 billion.

Export of grain from the Russian Federation in 2021-2022 agricultural year amounted to 38.1 million tons, and in 2020-2021 – 49 million tons.

Earlier, Patrushev said that the forecast for grain harvest in Russia in 2023 could be adjusted upwards. In April, he said that the grain harvest in the country, taking into account new regions, is projected at the level of 123 million tons at the end of the year, of which 78 million tons will fall on wheat. According to the minister, such a volume will ensure national food security. On July 7, Patrushev said that the Ministry of Agriculture is still maintaining its forecast for the harvest. Last year, about 158 ​​million tons of grain were harvested in the Russian Federation.
