Psychologist bonus, 175 thousand questions have already arrived: how it works and how to request it

MILAN – As of now nine out of ten people who have requested the psychologist bonus they can expect to be disappointed. This is the estimate in light of the 175 thousand requests received by INPS for contributions to the sessions, in just two days from the start of the applications.
If the flow of applications, distributed by Ansa, were to stop, a maximum of just over 11% of applicants will now be able to access the bonus. In fact, 10 million euros have been allocated for the measure and considering that the amount that can be assigned ranges from 500 to 1,500 euros (for a maximum of 50 euros per session) depending on the ISEE, the people who will be able to obtain it based on the minimum amount there are 20 thousand, approximately 11.4% of those who have requested it so far. However, it is probable that the percentage is even lower.
Applications will remain open until May 31st, but the contribution can be used for sessions to be held in 2024, within 270 days of receiving the INPS code. There are no refunds for therapeutic courses carried out during 2023. Among the requirements to access the benefit, residence in Italy and a valid, ordinary or current ISEE value of no more than 50 thousand euros.
However, the amount is parameterized into three bands:
- with a value Isee less than 15,000 euros it is 1,500 euros for each beneficiary;
- with a value Isee between 15,000 and 30,000 euros is 1,000 euros;
- with a value ISEE over 30,000 and not exceeding 50,000 euros is 500 euros.
The INPS will collect all the requests and only then – the Institute reminded us at the start of the measure – will the rankings of those entitled be drawn up by dividing the available resources giving priority to people with the lowest ISEE and, in case of equal income and asset situation, based on the order in which the application was submitted.
