Division of Rosneft (MOEX: ROSN), the RN-Vankor company began construction of oil pumping stations (OPS) Suzun and Payakha as part of the implementation of the Vostok Oil project. The facilities under construction will ensure the transportation of oil through the Vankor – Payakha – Sever Bay port pipeline, reported press service “Rosneft”.

“Vostok Oil” is a Rosneft project to redirect oil from the Vankor cluster of fields through a new oil pipeline to Taimyr with further transportation along the Northern Sea Route. The project also includes the development of the Payakhskoye field and adjacent areas in Taimyr. The resource base of the project is 6.5 billion tons of oil.

The press release states that engineering site preparation is currently underway at the construction site of the Payaha PS. Priority building materials have already been delivered there to begin construction. Piling equipment is being assessed and tested at the Suzun PS. After this, the installation of the pile foundation and the construction of industrial buildings and structures will begin. Rosneft also announced plans to build a modular temporary residential camp for 256 people with smart home technology at Payakha.
