Russian LNG supplies to China increased by 50% in January-April

According to Chinese customs, China imported 6.5 million tons of LNG from Russia last year. The volume of deliveries increased by 44%, and in value terms they increased by 2.4 times compared to 2021, exceeding $6.74 billion.

Deliveries of Russian pipeline gas in January-April increased year-on-year by 2.23 times and reached $2.33 billion. China also buys pipeline gas from Turkmenistan and Myanmar.

Earlier, Gazprom said that Russia could become the largest supplier of gas to China in the near future. In 2022, Russia delivered a record 15.5 billion cubic meters to China via the Power of Siberia gas pipeline. m of gas.
