At 9.30 am, the Sensex jumped 0.33 percent or 237.04 points to reach 72,287.42. Whereas, Nifty jumped 0.43 percent or 93.15 points and crossed 22,003.90. Shares of 23 out of thirty companies on Sensex are trading with green mark. Whereas, shares of 7 companies are showing losses. Top gainers on Sensex include Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Maruti, Hindustan Unilever, Tata Steel and JSW Steel. Whereas, shares of Power Grid, HCL Tech, ITC, Axis Bank and SBI are included in the category of top losers.

Green mark is visible in most of the indices like Sensex and Nifty. The auto index has seen the fastest rise on Nifty. At 9.40 am, the auto index rose 1.57 percent or 313.50 points to reach 20,295.20. Apart from this, growth is visible in Bank IT, Pharma, PUSU Bank and Media. Whereas, a slight decline is being seen in the reality sector. Midcap and small cap shares are also seeing a rise.

There was a rise in the stock markets for the third consecutive trading session on Thursday and BSE Sensex rose by 227 points and once again reached the level of 72,000 points. At the same time, Nifty of National Stock Exchange came close to 22,000 points. According to traders, the local market remained strong due to buying in Mahindra & Mahindra, HDFC Bank and SBI amid a strong trend in most of the global stock markets. Apart from this, huge demand in shares of automobile, energy and power companies also had a positive impact. The Sensex based on 30 shares closed at 72,050.38 points with a gain of 227.55 points or 0.32 percent. The index opened strong and reached a high of 72,164.97 points and a low of 71,644.44 points. National Stock Exchange’s Nifty also closed at 21,910.75 points with a gain of 70.70 points or 0.32 percent. Among Sensex companies, shares of Mahindra & Mahindra rose the most by 6.51 percent.
