The Bank of Russia proposed to the State Duma to elect three new members to the board of directors, reported TASS with reference to documents signed by Central Bank Chairman Elvira Nabiullina.

It is proposed to include on the board of the regulator the director of the financial stability department Elizaveta Danilova, the head of the main department for the Central Federal District Rustem Mardanov and the head of the Volgo-Vyatka main department of the Central Bank Larisa Pavlova.

In October, the powers of Vladimir Chistyukhin, Alexey Guznov, Alexey Simanovsky, Ksenia Yudaeva, and Mikhail Mamuta expire. It is clarified that the Duma Committee on the Financial Market will consider draft resolutions on October 9, and the State Duma at a plenary session on October 12.

The Board of Directors of the Central Bank is a collegial governing body of the regulator, which includes the Chairman of the Bank of Russia and employees working on a permanent basis at the Bank of Russia. Members of the council are appointed by the State Duma for a period of five years on the proposal of the head of the Central Bank. The council, as of September, includes the first deputy chairmen of the regulator Dmitry Tulin and Olga Skorobogatova, deputy chairmen Olga Polyakova, Philip Gabunia, Alexey Zabotkin.

The body also includes Ksenia Yudaeva, who in July left position of first deputy chairman of the Central Bank. She was also appointed in October 2018 and her term is due to expire in October. She is not listed on Nabiullina’s list.
