The cost of equipment for cleaning industrial emissions in cities that are not included in the federal Clean Air project, but still need it, can reach 106 billion rubles. Such data was presented by the General Director of TLP Management, Zaira Makhacheva, at the conference “The environmental factor in the development of territories and the ESG agenda“, organized by the Kommersant Publishing House.

According to her, from 2019 to 2023, the volume of the “active” market for gas cleaning equipment in Russia amounted to 22 billion rubles, or 5.5 billion rubles. annually. The growing demand for the purification of emissions from industrial enterprises is associated with the implementation of federal projects in the field of ecology, explained Ms. Makhacheva.

However, the capacity of the “sleeping” market reaches a much larger size, she continued: “It includes enterprises that create pollution, but are not yet covered by such intensive stimulation from the state.” According to a “modest estimate”, we can talk about 106 billion rubles. until 2030, said Zaira Makhacheva.

“But it could be significantly more if the self-awareness of those enterprises awakens that do not fall into the 41 Clean Air cities, into the first or second category of danger, but pollute the air in their cities,” she concluded.

Let us remind you that the implementation of the federal project “Clean Air” is still behind the planned indicators, told Deputy Head of the Kept Consulting Department Igor Korotetsky.
