The Federation Council announced the date for submitting the draft new federal budget to the State Duma

“We reflected all our main proposals regarding the budget for the next three years in the resolution of the Federation Council on the formation of the concept of the federal budget for the next budget cycle,” the senator noted, as quoted by the press service of the upper house.

The parliamentarian added that the draft budget has already passed hearings in the Federation Council. In essence, they are “zero reading” and the start of reviewing the document.

Artamonov noted that the country’s budget for the next three years turned out to be difficult, as in 2021-2022. However, budget stimulation and the introduction of new business support measures have already increased economic activity in the country, and the trend should continue, the senator emphasized.

The government approved the federal budget bill for the next planning period on September 22. The document indicated that treasury revenues in 2024 will amount to 35 trillion rubles. (19.4% of GDP), expenses – 36.6 trillion rubles. (20.4% of GDP). According to the Cabinet of Ministers, non-oil and gas revenues will be twice as high as oil and gas revenues.
