The Center for Ecosystem Security (TSES) Tinkoff has identified a financial pyramid created by In Touch Media, which offered to issue bank credit cards to earn money. At least 15,000 people participated in the pyramid, customer losses are estimated at hundreds of millions of rubles, the Tinkoff press service reported in a blog vc.ru.
According to the press service, In Touch Media offered a scheme to make money with the help of mass advertising mailing, hiding behind cooperation with Tinkoff Bank. In fact, the company is not a partner of a credit institution, Tinkoff stressed.
The press service reported that In Touch Media meets all the signs of a financial pyramid, which were identified by the Bank of Russia. These include, in particular, the promise of a guaranteed income, the payment of income by attracting new participants, the unclear source of the company’s income, difficulties in finding the company’s financial statements, lack of a regulator’s license for financial activities.
It is reported that as a protective measure, Tinkoff blocked clients’ transfers in favor of In Touch Media and filed an application with the Central Bank about the presence of signs of a financial pyramid in the company’s activities.
It is noted that, having recruited a sufficient number of participants, the pyramid burst, but new similar organizations formed in its place. Among them are Ready to buy, Unite to Live and Bethle Aster, the press service reports, citing online reviews.
According to the bank, Tinkoff Zashchita every week identifies 10-15 new resources that advertise the services of companies with signs of finpyramids. Bank employees apply to the Central Bank for their blocking, the press service notes.
The In Touch Media community page on VKontakte was blocked on the territory of the Russian Federation at the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation dated June 16, 2023, Kommersant was convinced.
