Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF) stated that the franchise (brand rental) agreement for the new branch opened by the detained Dilan Polat’s company was made before the appointment of a trustee, and that beauty centers for which a trustee was not appointed by the court are not managed by TMSF.

In the statement made by SDIF, it was stated that it was necessary to make a statement due to the information pollution in the news about the trustee duty in recent days.

In the statement, it was stated that while the legal process against some companies under investigation continues, the courts can appoint SDIF as a trustee in order to ensure that commercial activities continue without disruption in accordance with the law and to protect the economy and employment.

“The primary duty of SDIF in entrusted companies is the payment of public debts, protection of employment and receivables of third parties. Polat Group companies signed franchise agreements with many companies at home and abroad before the appointment of trustees. More than 100 companies with which such agreements were signed. There is a trusteeship decision on only 5 of them. Beauty centers other than these are not ‘agents’ or ‘representatives’ of Polat Group companies, they carry out their commercial activities on their own behalf and accounts. In other words, companies and beauty centers for which trustees have not been appointed by the court are not managed by TMSF. “The mutual rights and obligations of the parties continue within the scope of franchise agreements.”
