Aadhar-Pan Link: Today is the last day to link PAN and Aadhaar, know the easy process of linking soon

New Delhi: Today is the last day of the month of June. Those who have not got their PAN and Aadhaar linked, should do this work soon today. The deadline to link PAN card with Aadhaar is 30 June 2023. Earlier, the date of March 31, 2023 was fixed to do this work. But again it was extended for three months at once. Your PAN card will be deactivated if you do not link PAN-Aadhaar. If this happens, then card holders will not be able to do things like mutual funds, stock market investments. Not only this, in today’s time, from opening a bank account to real estate or any other deal, PAN card is the most important document.

Today people will have to pay Rs 1000 as fine to link PAN with Aadhaar card. At the same time, related changes will be seen in the form as well.
Under this, when you pay the fine for linking PAN with Aadhaar, during this time you get the option of Assessment Year (AY). The Income Tax Department has now updated the assessment year. You have to select the assessment year 2024-25 for payment of late fee. The previous deadline was March 31, 2023, for which assessment year 2023-24 was to be selected.

Go to the income tax filing website https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/.
Register. If already registered then your PAN number will be the user id.
Log in by entering User ID and Password (date of birth).
A new window will pop up. Here you will be asked to link PAN with Aadhaar. You go to the menu bar and go to ‘Profile Settings’ and click on ‘Link Aadhaar’.
According to the information given in the PAN card, date of birth and gender will be already mentioned.
If there is some miss match in PAN information and PAN then you have to rectify it.
If your Aadhaar and PAN details match, then enter your Aadhaar number and click on the link now button.
A pop-up message will appear stating that your Aadhaar has been successfully linked with PAN.
