Advance to EYT’s whose salary is overdue

With the official implementation of the EYT regulation, the way to retirement has been opened for more than 2 million people. Employees of the Social Security Institution (SGK) have been examining and deciding on the files of those who have applied for EYT for about three months. However, the good news of advance came for the EYT members, whose salaries could not be paid due to the fact that their procedures were not completed even though they applied. The General Directorate of SGK Pension Services announced that there is an advance arrangement for those who cannot receive their pension within 90 days.

WHO CANNOT RECEIVE A SALARY WITHIN 90 DAYS CAN APPLY

In the SGK Circular No. 2018/38 on the official website of the institution, it includes the advance arrangement for the retired candidates who have not been paid within 90 days despite applying for retirement. According to the regulation, EYT members can request advance payment from SGK. Retired candidates who have not been paid yet despite applying for retirement on March 3, 2023, when EYT was officially launched, will be able to request an advance from the institution after June 2.

Advances paid will be deducted from the paid pension. According to the regulation, if the pension cannot be paid within 90 days, the persons determined to be entitled to a pension by the SGK can be paid an advance to be deducted from their future pension receivables, if they make a written request.

The circular numbered 2018/38 of the General Directorate of Pension Services states the following: “In case of a written request to the insured and beneficiaries who are found to be entitled to a pension, an advance can be paid to be deducted from their future receivables. The advance amount will be for each three months, the net minimum for the pensions to be paid. It will be determined by the Institution, provided that it does not exceed three times the wage and two times the net minimum wage for incomes. The portion of the advance amount exceeding the income and monthly accumulated amount will be deducted from the income and pensions by one-fourth.”
