Air India signs deal for 470 aircraft at Paris Airshow

New Delhi (Best Hindu News): Tata Group-owned airline Air India on Tuesday signed agreements to buy 470 aircraft from Airbus and Boeing, expanding the fleet from the $70 billion investment announced in February this year. Part of the program to do. The purchase agreements with the world’s two largest aircraft manufacturers were signed on the sidelines of the ongoing Paris Airshow.
Air India’s order includes 34 A350-1000s, six A350-900s, 20 Boeing 787 Dreamliners and 10 Boeing 777 widebody aircraft as well as 140 Airbus A320neo, 70 Airbus A321neo and 190 Boeing 737Max narrowbody aircraft.

According to airline officials, Airbus company Satair and Boeing Global Services will support Air India with a wide range of solutions, including parts and maintenance provision, digital applications and modification services.
Deliveries of the Airbus A350 will start later this year, an official said, though most orders are due from mid-2025.
