Almost one and a half thousand people applied for compensation for destroyed housing

More than 1,400 people have submitted applications since the start of the compensation mechanism for destroyed housing on August 1.
She reported about it press service Restoration Ministries.
In total, the submitted applications concern almost 100,000 square meters of destroyed residential space.
Residents of Kharkiv region (597) and Kyiv region (428) submitted the most applications. It is followed by Chernihiv region (113), Mykolaiv region (82) and Donetsk region (69).
Among all submitted applications, 59% concern compensation for a destroyed apartment, 40% – a private house.
The Ministry of Reconstruction reminds that applications will be considered by special commissions at local self-government bodies. They should start work on August 15.

Since August 1, the owners of housing that was destroyed as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation have received an opportunity submit an application to receive compensation. Compensation will be provided in the form of an electronic housing certificate, which can be used to purchase housing in the primary or secondary markets.
Compensation will be paid to individual owners of housing that was destroyed by hostilities after February 24, 2022, is not subject to restoration and is located in unoccupied territory and not in the zone of active hostilities.
