Ukrainians who have found refuge abroad will soon be able to receive pensions and other types of financial assistance by international postal transfer, but in the near future this service will be available only in Poland.

The relevant experimental project was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers at its meeting on August 11.

Such services will be free of charge for citizens of Ukraine abroad.

Ukrainians in Poland will primarily be able to use the service for payment and delivery of pensions or cash assistance abroad. For this, the person will need to send a corresponding statement to JSC “Ukrposhta” in paper or electronic form.

The relevant project of the resolution was prepared by the Ministry of Social Policy based on the results of meetings on the discussion of problematic issues of Ukrainian citizens temporarily staying in Poland.

But if necessary, the experiment will be implemented in other countries as well.

Within the scope of the experimental project, payments by international postal transfer of JSC “Ukrposhta” of pensions and cash assistance to recipients who are temporarily outside Ukraine are provided.

The innovation will simplify the receipt of pensions and other types of financial aid for those citizens who received them by mail in Ukraine and did not have current accounts opened in authorized banks.

We remind you:

On August 11, it became known that The National Bank of Ukraine eases the next currency restrictions.

Among other things, JSC “UKRPOSHTA” as the designated operator of postal services will be able to make transfers to ensure the payment of pensions and cash benefits for the benefit of Ukrainian citizens who are temporarily abroad.

According to the NBU, this will make it possible to support social initiatives for the protection of pensioners who are forced to stay outside Ukraine, and to ensure the payment of state-guaranteed pensions and cash benefits.
