Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu visited Yenimahalle’s Susuz District, then took the suburban train from Kayaş and came to Elmadağ Train Station and made statements.
In his speech here, Uraloğlu stated that they have invested 57 billion dollars in railways in 22 years, and said that high-speed train lines have reached 50 percent of the country’s population.
In this context, Uraloğlu pointed out that the demand for railways is increasing day by day and announced that they started Ankara-Elmadağ regional train services as 6 trips every day.
Stating that the Ankara-Elmadağ Regional Train started operating on March 21 and departs from Ankara at 06.10, 12.25 and 17.40 every day, and from Elmadağ to Ankara at 07.20, 13.30 and 18.55, Uraloğlu said that the departure times depend on the needs of the citizens. He emphasized that it was determined accordingly.
Uraloğlu pointed out that the travel time on the line in question is 40 to 45 minutes and said, “There will only be a one-minute wait at Kayaş Station for the Ankara-Elmadağ Regional Train. Uraloğlu underlined that the work on the Ankara-İzmir line, which will reduce the travel time between Ankara-İzmir from 14 hours to 3 hours 30 minutes, continues rapidly, and said that they have put the Ankara-Istanbul Super High Speed Train Line project on the agenda and completed the preliminary project work.
