The sources of the Ministry of Finance have said that the Governor will inform the State Bank and the Secretary of the Ministry of Finance about the economic figures during the meeting with the IMF officials.
Sources in the Ministry of Finance say that as a result of positive discussions with MDIMF, an IMF mission will arrive in Pakistan next month for talks, with the economic team on the preparation of the new loan program and the budget for the next fiscal year. will work.
Sources in the Ministry of Finance have said that the economic team will also discuss with the World Bank officials to increase financing during the meeting.
It should be noted that the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank will begin today in Washington.
According to sources, the Pakistani delegation headed by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb will participate in these meetings, the ministerial and important meetings are scheduled from April 17 to April 19.
Meanwhile, the finance minister will have meetings with MDIMF and the president of the World Bank.
The finance minister will also have meetings with finance ministers of friendly countries and US officials.
Sources in the Ministry of Finance have said that on this occasion the IMF will be requested for a new loan program.
