Cancellation shock to EYT waiting for salary

Erdogan Kaya, who lives in Samsun, applied to the Social Security Institution (SGK) in March to take advantage of the EYT regulation. He paid 29 thousand liras of military debt because his premium was missing. Kaya, whose procedures were completed, was retired at the age of 44. Compensation was also paid by his workplace.

Erdogan Kaya’s retirement dream fell through with a message from SGK 2-3 days ago. In the message, it was written that ‘The application for EYT has been cancelled’. Kaya took the road to SSI without wasting time. He learned from the authorities that the EYT application was canceled because it was “insurance with a first-degree relative”.

The insurance initiation of Kaya’s first degree relative was made in 1995. In order to benefit from EYT, it is necessary to have an insurance record before 8 September 1999. Kaya’s chance to benefit from the EYT arrangement was also eliminated, since he started working at his second workplace in December 1999.

Speaking to Yeni Şafak, Erdoğan Kaya said, “I worked with my father for 9 months as a construction worker since the 7th month of 1995. During this time, my premiums were also paid. Even though I was under the age of 18 and my first workplace belonged to my father, my retirement procedures were cancelled. We want it to be looked at, investigated and not immediately rejected. Because people who really work are victims,” ​​he said. Kaya is preparing to apply to the court to seek his rights through legal means.
