MINIMUM WAGE STATEMENT FROM ERDOĞAN
In his statement after the cabinet meeting yesterday, Erdoğan stated that they were “slowly” taking inflation under control and said that pricing behaviors that have no economic basis have begun to be replaced by rational pricing.
Regarding the minimum wage negotiations that will start next week, Erdoğan said, “This process will be managed with the aim of a minimum wage level that will receive the approval of our workers, will not tire our employers and will not harm employment.”
HOW MUCH ARE DOLLAR AND EURO?
Dollar/TL followed a trend of limited daily increases from the beginning of September until last week.
While the exchange rate has been following a more horizontal course due to the recent increased foreign interest, the increase in the CBRT’s reserves is also becoming evident.
Although TL has shown limited change against the dollar recently, it has lost 35.4 percent of its value since the beginning of the year.
The loss of value in TL since June, when public control over the exchange rate was loosened, has been 28.5 percent.
Euro/TL finds buyers at 31.18 level.
