Exchange rates for August 31: the dollar and the euro unexpectedly increase in price

On August 31, the cash hryvnia weakened for the first time in a week on the “black market” against the dollar and the euro, in banks the national currency continues to strengthen against the dollar, but weakened against the euro.
This is stated in the data minfin.com.ua, finance.ua.
At 09:40, the exchange rate of the dollar against the hryvnia on the “black market” was 37.76 – 38.03 hryvnias against quotes of 37.67 – 37.99 the day before.
At the same time, the “black” rate of the euro was UAH 41.26-41.61 against the rate of UAH 41.13-41.52 per euro the day before.
The average currency exchange rates at bank counters were as follows:
- US dollar – UAH 37.5 – UAH 38.15 (exchange rate on August 30 – UAH 37.5 – UAH 38.2);
- Euro – 40.8 – 41.5 UAH (exchange rate on August 30 – 40.7 – 41.6 UAH).
In terms of banks, the cash rates are as follows:
- Privatbank – UAH 37.3 – 37.9;
- Oschadbank – UAH 37.5 – UAH 38.45;
- Ukreximbank – UAH 37.5 – 38.3;
- Raiffeisen – 37.6 – 38.8 UAH.
As for non-cash payments, the exchange rate when paying by card in banks in Privatbank is UAH 37.45 per dollar, in Oschada – UAH 37.12, in Universal Bank (monobank) – UAH 37.44.
